Background - The Company

These are companies we have association with in the energy saving market. In most cases their work is closely associated and extremely compatible with the use of hydrogen as an alternative clean fuel. More information on these associations and technologies can be found in relevent areas of this site.

Economy Tuning

There are many ways of saving fuel however we focus on those things that make the biggest changes typically these are driver behaviour, remapping or tuning and aerodynamics.

Most fleets are run to a lowest common denominator of performance with the pressure of day to day operations taking precedent over efficiency simply due to staff work loads and general business pressures. An example case study is a large waste company operating a range of vehicles across a number of business applications. By simply reviewing and monitoring the driver behaviour and remapping the fleet we have seen dramatic improvements in fuel consumption.

At Economy Tuning we can save you money GUARANTEED! If we don’t save you at least 5% not only will we refund you will will give you an extra 10%* How? Simply we engineer or tailor your fleet to be more economical using a combination of techniques including remapping, aerodynamics, telemetry and driver behaviour to maximise your fuel reduction. We are the only company that combine this expertise and have the technology to measure and assess your fleet in real time.

Winter Driving Tips
One thing to never overlook at this time of year is correct tyre pressures. Underinflated tyres quickly overheat and can self destruct on a high speed motorway trip with disastrous consequences for the occupants of the car plus delays to the miles of tailback traffic. Best to remember that tyre pressures can vary by 10psi between summer and winter ambient temperatures.

Winter travel can be unpredictable so always keep a hi-viz vest or jacket, blankets, a good flashlight with spare batteries, snacks and fresh bottled water in the car and if you're travelling further afield, some hot coffee in a thermos will be very welcome in case of unexpected delays. Check fluid levels before you travel - an anti-freeze tester is very useful for checking that you have the correct concentration in your coolant reservoir for adequate protection in freezing temperatures. Top up your windscreen washer fluids regularly - any empty reservoir can make for a very hazardous journey on wet winter roads. Be safe this winter.
